Wind energy converts kinetic energy that is present in the wind into more
useful forms of energy such as mechanical energy or electricity. Wind energy is a
pollution-free, infinitely sustainable form of energy. It doesn't use fuel; it
doesn't produce greenhouse gasses, and it doesn't produce toxic or radioactive
waste. Windmills that were used to grind grain are an example of early uses of
wind energy. Modern uses of wind energy include generation of electricity and
pumping water. Current wind energy machines are called "wind turbine generators",
"wind pumps", or more generally, "wind turbines.
CALTECH GREEN ENERGY just completed a 50 months long comprehensive survey in the
southern part of Bangladesh, Cox'sbazar - Teknaf the world longest sea beach on
Wind Speed in 50-60 meter height and now preparing a Feasibility Study to set up
Hybrid Wind Mill which can generate minimum 1800 Mw Clean Green Energy.
